Critical Literary Studies follows the double blind peer review process of article evaluation.

 

Editorial and Publication Process:

 

A) After receiving submission request, an e-mail would be sent to the corresponding author. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail, please attempt to send your file for the second time.

 

B) The first step after the successful submission is the in-house technical evaluation of the article and the supplementary files including the Title Page, Cover Letter, Conflict of Interests form, and any other submitted files. The evaluation is conducted by the editorial manager. AI-generated content detection is part of the process. The decision includes one of the following:

1) Technically accepted

2) Sent back to authors for re-submission

3) Technically rejected

 

C) In the peer review process, both the reviewer and author’s identification would remain anonymous. The article will be reviewed by at least two peer reviewers. All manuscripts will be subject to a well-established, fair, unbiased review and referring procedure, and are considered on the basis of their significance, novelty and usefulness to the Journals readership. The reviewing structure will always ensure the anonymity of the reviewers. The review process may take up to 4 months. Notification of the result will be sent by an e-mail to the corresponding author, and it is also observed on the contributor's account on the journal's system. The review output will be one of the following decisions:

1) Accepted

2) Minor revisions 

3) Major revisions

4) Rejected

 

D) The author(s) are supposed to revise the article according to the result of the peer review process which will provide them with the plain text comments, the evaluation form, and the attached files. 

 

E) The revised article is monitored by the final reviewer in order to validate the corrections and revisions proposed by the reviewers.

 

F) Article is initially accepted by the editor-in-chief.

 

G) The articles to be published in each issue are presented in the Editorial Board meeting. The meetings are regularly held twice a year; however, the final acceptance of the article could be managed by at least two members of the Editorial Board.

 

H) The article is sent thorugh the journal's system to the language editor.

 

I) The article will be placed on the Articles in Press page of the journal's website by the editorial manager.

 

J) The final publication of the article is made by the editor-in-chief after the final decision of the Editorial Board, or by at least two members of the Board. A PDF version of the article will be thus available on the journal’s website.
