Critical Literary Studies is a peer-reviewed biannual journal run by the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Kurdistan in Iran. CLS received its license from the Iranian Ministry of Culture on 5/6/1397 (28 August, 2018) with the License Number 79848. CLS is validated by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and indexed in the Ministry's Academic Journals Portal. The journal is indexed in DOAJ and ISC.

CLS is supported by an expert and international Editorial and Advisory Board. The academic editors in the CLS journal take an objective and constructive approach to the process of peer reviewing, ensuring each manuscript is evaluated on its own scholarly merits and research integrity. 

CLS presents collections that publish the latest studies on key topics and discussion within the academic community in terms of research projects and conferences. CLS is the first, and for the present time, the only Iranian English journal fully dedicated to critical and literary studies.
